- Documents with an append-only version history
- Every document carries its versions; version one is written with the document and nothing overwrites a previous one. Each mutation emits an audit row, so who replaced what and when is a question with an answer.
- Text extraction and search
- Uploaded documents are read for text — including scanned pages through OCR — and indexed, so a search finds the phrase inside a PDF rather than only the filename somebody typed.
- A precedent library that assembles, never invents
- Your own precedents with merge fields, filled from the matter. The engine is a pure function: it composes no clause, rephrases nothing and chooses nothing. What comes out is exactly what a person can predict by reading the template.
- Native e-signature
- An envelope wraps a document from the matter it belongs to, takes multiple signers, verifies each with a one-time code sent to them alone, and files the executed copy back against the matter as a new version with the audit trail attached.
- A client portal, per person
- Each named person at a client gets their own access to the matters you have shared with them — two people at one company can hold different access to the same file — and it is where they sign.
What this does not do
The boundary, from us rather than from your first week.
- A one-time code proves the signer held the address or number your firm sent it to. It is not identity verification, and nothing here screens a signer against a register.
- Precedent assembly is merge fields only. It will not draft a clause for you, and it is not the assistant — deliberately, because a document that a person cannot predict from the template is a document nobody can safely sign.
